The European Commission has launched new calls for proposals under Horizon Europe’s 2025 Work Programme for Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility, offering over €318 million in EU funding to advance cutting-edge energy research and innovation.
The new call HORIZON-CL5-2026-02 provides support for projects under two key destinations, covering a total of 20 research topics:
- Sustainable, secure and competitive energy supply (HORIZON-CL5-2026-02-D3)
- Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use (HORIZON-CL5-2026-02-D4)
The deadline for submission of project proposals is 17 February 2026.

Evaluation and Granting
- Applicants will receive evaluation results within five months of the submission deadline.
