COST – European Cooperation in Science and Technology

COST is a funding organization for research and innovation networks. COST Actions help to connect research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers.

DAAD

As a registered association, DAAD helps German universities in their internationalisation actions, extends German studies and the German language abroad, supports developing countries in establishing effective universities and advises decision makers on matters of cultural, education and development policy.

Erasmus Plus

Erasmus Plus is the EU programme for supporting actions in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport during 2014-2020. It embeds 7 existing programmes which include Tempus and Erasmus Mundus.

Erasmus Mundus funded by the European Commission since 2004, is a a higher education cooperation programme offering Joint Master Degree programmes under the umbrella of Erasmus Plus.

Galileo Masters

Copernicus is the Earth observation programme of the EU managed by the European Commission aimed at providing information services drawn from draw from satellite Earth Observation and in-situ (non-space) data. The programme has several opportunities for projects and ideas improving the lives of the Europeans as well as the planet and its environment.

It has an objective to boost international collaboration and to facilitate global scientific collaboration and exchange. To do so, SNSF provides different opportunities for Swiss and foreign researchers.

National Science Foundation (NSF) awards and other funding

Founded by the Congress, NSF is an American independent federal agency for promoting scientific growth by supporting basic research and people aimed at creating new knowledge for the future. NSF offers various funding programmes and awards to fund general as well as specific topics.

KAUST Global Fellowship Programme

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology Global Fellowship Programme is a merit-based programme targeting excellent postdocs for implementing their breakthrough ideas.

DARPA

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is part of the U.S. Department of Defense which promotes breakthrough novelties through academic, corporate, and governmental collaborations. It funds advanced research in different disciplines which can involve foreign research teams as well.

Visegrad Fund

Visegrad Fund is an international donor organization, established in 2000 by the governments of the Visegrad Group countries—Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. Visegrad Fund is providing funding to a diverse range of activities in all areas of life. It seeks to advance innovative ideas that address shared challenges through high quality regional cooperation projects. Armenian and other EaP entities can benefit from Visegrad+ Grants scheme supporting to the democratization and transformation processes in the region, as well as Visegrad scholarships for Master and post-Master students to study in the Visegrad countries.

NATO- Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme
