A COST Action is an interdisciplinary research network that brings researchers and innovators together to investigate a topic of their choice for 4 years.
Open to all science and technology fields COST Actions offer an inclusive environment for individuals of all levels of seniority to grow their professional research networks and boost their careers by joining COST Actions.
Participation in COST Actions is open to researchers, innovators, and representatives from SMEs and industry, civil society and NGOs, public institutions, and other interested parties of Armenia as of COST Association Full-Member Country.
How to propose your own Action?
If you would like to propose your own COST Action research network, you must do so through the COST Open Call.
COST invites you to submit proposals for COST Actions addressing scientific, technological, and societal challenges, by promoting and spreading excellence, fostering interdisciplinary research for breakthrough science, and empowering and retaining young researchers and innovators.
All proposals are to be submitted via the dedicated online platform of the COST Association used for grant management, known as e-COST, between 31 July 2026 and 28 October 2026. COST will fund up to 80 COST Actions from its 2026 Open Call.

Join the online Info Day
If you would like further information on the COST Open Call, then join the online Info Day on 16 June (from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST). The aim of the event is to inform the research community on how to participate in COST Actions or submit a COST Action proposal, as well as the role and impact of the COST programme.

How to participate in an existing Action?
Have you found a COST Action that is of your interest? Want to get involved? Apply to join one of its Working Groups or become a Management Committee (MC) member.
- Visit the dedicated Action page on the COST website.
- In the “Action Documents” section, read the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to fully understand the aims of the new Action.
- Identify the Working Group(s) you would like to be part of and apply to join.
- You will be redirected to e-COST, the online platform of COST Association. Login or register for an account if you don’t have one and submit the simple form.
- If you want to get more deeply involved and are interested in joining the Management Committee (MC) of an Action please contact COST National Contact Point (CNC) for Armenia.
