As part of the ERA Talent project, funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe, The EURAXESS Internship Program for Refugee and Displaced Researchers in Europe, is currently open for applications.
The program aims to facilitate the integration of refugee and displaced researchers into the European labor market. Emphasizing intersectoral mobility, it offers reimbursements to participants for internships in both industrial and public organizations. Priority consideration will be given to female refugee researchers, recognizing their need for additional support in achieving intersectoral mobility.
With a dedicated budget of €200,000, the EURAXESS Internship Program provides financial assistance to companies, SMEs, NGOs, and refugee researchers. Reimbursement covers internships lasting between 1 and 6 months, during which participants may engage either full-time or part-time with their host organization.
The program invites applications from two key groups:
1. Hosting Organizations: Companies, SMEs, or NGOs operating within EU member states or associated countries may apply to host refugees or displaced researchers through the EURAXESS Internship Program. Eligible organizations must have a legal presence in the country and have posted their internship offers on the EURAXESS Jobs Portal.
2. Researchers: Refugee or displaced individuals residing in EU member states or associated countries, possessing legal status in the host country, and either pursuing or holding a PhD degree are eligible to apply for reimbursement through the EURAXESS Internship Program.
